Drawing review
We read the material, the datums, tool access, and the features that control assembly. If a callout is unclear or tighter than the material will hold, we ask before we guess.

The same list our email template asks for. A complete package is what the 24-hour DFM and pricing response is based on. Manufacturing lead time is confirmed on the quotation, not on this page.
One current revision in the file name and in the title block. Tell us if an older revision is only there for comparison. Quote the revision you want made.
STEP, STP, or IGES for the model. PDF for the drawing. DWG is useful when the PDF is attached as well. Native CAD without a STEP and a PDF slows the review. Put dimensions, datums, and notes on the drawing rather than only in the model.
The grade and condition, not only "aluminum", "stainless", or "PEEK". If a certificate is required (lot trace, RoHS/REACH, or a stated resin compliance), say so here. Grades and realistic bands are on the materials and tolerances page.
The quantity for this order, and whether you expect a repeat. Prototype quantities in the 1–10 piece range and later batches are both in scope. There is no strict minimum. The unit price follows the setup, so a one-off and a repeat are quoted differently.
Datum scheme, the features your inspector will measure, thread class, and surface texture on sealing or bearing faces. Mark internal intersections that must be burr-free. A general title-block tolerance with no criticals flagged is quotable, but it is a weaker quote.
Instrument context at the level you can share: IVD analyzer, analytical valve, medical equipment mount, or similar. Name the mating thread or the face the part seals against. If a reagent touches the part, name the media so we can flag an obvious material mismatch. Chemical compatibility stays your decision. If an NDA has to come first, see item 09 and do not attach the model yet.
Say if you need a material certificate, RoHS/REACH declarations, a first-article inspection, or a CMM / vision report. Leak or pressure testing is not included unless the method and the acceptance criteria are agreed. Details of the equipment are on the quality page.
The date you need parts in hand, so we can say whether it is realistic before you place the order. Destination country if you want carriage discussed. Otherwise the quote is for the machined parts, and express shipment (DHL, FedEx, or UPS) is arranged when you ask. We do not publish one lead time for every drawing.
Send the agreement and wait for it to be signed before you send CAD. We will sign an NDA. You do not have to put the model in the first message.
Optional and useful: a photo of the current part, or a sentence on what failed, if you are second-sourcing. We still need a drawing or a written specification. We will not copy a sample and invent the tolerances.
Attach the files in your own mail app. The button opens a message with the same headings as this checklist.

After the files arrive
We read the material, the datums, tool access, and the features that control assembly. If a callout is unclear or tighter than the material will hold, we ask before we guess.
A complete RFQ is answered with pricing and design-for-manufacture comments. Our stated response target is within 24 hours of a complete package. An incomplete file moves that target.
Machining time is quoted with the parts. It depends on material availability, setups, quantity, any treatment you specified, and the inspection package. A dock date on the RFQ is how we tell you if the date is real.
